Motivated to sell, but not looking to give anything away. If you are interested, make me an offer and lets see if we can work out a deal.
If there is any information not listed below, please ask. As is stated below, I did not build the engine so if you are looking for super detailed information like ring gap, bearing clearances, etc.. I will not be able to provide that. The engine is currently prepped for storage and all rocker arms have been backed off to relieve tension on the valve springs. It is fully capped off and wrapped in a storage bag on the stand.
This engine came out of my 2001 Ford Ranger drag truck which I recently sold as a roller. The truck competed in the NMRA Truck/Lightning class and NHRA Summit ET Series Pro ET category. The engine was built in November of 2017 by Roush Competition Engines in Livonia, MI and made its first competition passes in May 2018. It was run for three seasons in the NMRA (6 races/year), three seasons at Bandimere in the Pro ET class (9-10 races/year), a trip to the Street Car Super Nationals in Vegas in 2022, and four trips down to Pueblo over the last four years for testing and one race this year.
The engine was pulled out of the truck on September 7th, 2024 a week before the truck was sold. There is a video attached of the engine running just before being pulled. Full specifications are below. It is being sold complete with a fully tuned Fast XFI 2.0 port fuel injection system and wiring harness, as well as a complete MSD ignition system that includes a crank trigger, distributor, 6AL box, Blaster SS coil, Roush 9MM plug wires, and and MSD 3-Step module. Engine will also come with a 157-tooth SFI flex-plate. At the time the engine was built, it made 560HP @ 6,800 and 458 FT/LBS @ 5,800 on a very conservative (12.0:1 AFR) tune. I have no doubt there is more left in it, but it met, and even exceeded, our goal of bottom 10s in the NMRA. In my Ranger, with a 2,940lbs race weight including driver, backed up by a PA SuperComp C4, 4.10 gear, and 28x10.5 tires it ran best passes as follows:
Best ET: 9.885 @ 134.52 in Bradenton, FL in Feb. 2020 (-1,300 ft. DA)
Best ET at Bandimere: 10.600 @ 125.11 in April 2022 (6,800 ft. DA)
Best ET at Pueblo Motorsports Park: 10.569 @ 125.63 in October 2022 (6,300 ft. DA)
