I bought the chopper after visiting the 2023 Denton October Motorcycle Swap meet.
No, I didn't see nor buy it there....but on my den table are dozens of Easy Rider, Chopper type magazine and as I owned (3) dating back to 1971 and forward, building one out of 4 boxes while in the military in the 70's and so on, I thought that "one more time" was in my spirit.
Not long after the Denton swap meet I discovered the 1964 FL, looked at it and worked out a deal with the son of a man that had the bike plus other items but who had passed away and the son inherited it all...
Doesn't matter but that's how I acquired it...non-running and with nothing else to go by.
The FL has a Joe Hunt Magneto. I have NOT had the time since buying it to work on the bike that has good compression. Aside from taking out the clutch plates, buying new (but didn't install) but instead due to the excellent condition of the plates I inspected, cleaned them up and put them back in the primary.
I did replace the cork gasket and primary cover screws but "that" is about it aside from rolling it in to my den.
Now age 72, I'm not over the hill but have other projects to work on. The bike is sweet looking eye candy for the den or garage and NO, I am "not" pressed to sell it but "if" the right offer surfaces, it will be sold.
Now I am also making it available by throwing in...well, at least at the moment of writing this ad, (1) of (2) trailers.
The trailers are for sale locally for $3500 -or- $4500 depending on which one.
1) is a 2015 open Aluma MC210 aluminum trailer with ramp. Do your own research to find the specs but in short it is capable of 2000 lbs, has a single torsion axle, swivel tongue jack with a 2" coupler. The trailer comes with (2) Condor chocks and 8 tie down rings. Tires are very good condition.
2) 2007 Haulmark Low-Hauler enclosed 2 to 3 bike trailer with a 14 ft box. It has it's share of years of use but comes with a Tennessee title in the seller's name.
The bike, by itself, is $18,000.
Again, these items are for sale locally.
