Up for sale is a real deal SS 1970 Chevelle Super Sport 396 TH400 matched set. The car had production date / code of 05C269. The engine and trans were removed from the car it left the GM factory from with the car had 60K miles on it when it was dismantled, Not something was peace milled together.
Details on the engine 70 SS 396 with TH400. The short block that was rebuilt due to a cracked head with low miles on it before it was parked .060 over bore casting #is 3699854 deck pad stamping of T0508CTW / vin stamped and a casting date of D 21 70. 396 heads are dated earlier L 2 9, intake is K 6 9 (off of an early built 70 SS, th400 is a factory spec's TH400 for the SS396 with vin stamped to the car that is was removed from (CF coded) with a build date of 463, The car was an AC car. I have all the brackets the OEM Q-jet carb, pullies and AC compressor and power steering pump to make your swap complete if needed.
The engine will need gone through, as for it is not in running condition. It has been stored in doors for years empty no visual cracks in the block and not froze up or rusted. Both units are good rebuildable items. But for someone building a Clone SS or someone that has a real 396SS Chevelle that has the missing drive train this is the perfect set up for you. Please don't ask if the car is available. It was rotted and cut up for a racecar.
