Professionally rebuilt Chevrolet Big Block BBC 454 MK IV 4 bolt main motor, rebuilt, broken in, dyno’d and ready to install.
Complete from carb to pan. This motor is ready to install in your car and run. Old school factory GM performance. I have been building motors for over 20 years.
Break-in and dyno time only with Lucas Break-in oil with zinc additive, 15 degrees initial timing, 34 degrees total. Check out pictures and dyno video. Sounds great!

495 hp @ 5500 RPM / 545 ft lbs tq @ 3500 RPM
• Block – GM MK IV Casting 14015445 – hot tanked, checked for cracks, new cam bearings and brass freeze out plugs. Fresh bore and hone 0.060 over (now 468 c.i.), deck height checked, align honed.
• Heads – 14096188 “188” steel castings rectangle port heads – 2.19 /1.88 valves. Cleaned, magnafluxed, checked for straightness, valve job. New Comp Cams springs 924-16, new Fel=Pro rubber/metal valve cover gaskets, factory steel rockers 1.7 ratio. New 3/8 pushrods. Fel-Pro blue Perma-Torque head gaskets. New steel chrome valve covers New stainless valve cover studs/nuts/washers.
• Intake Manifold – GM Winters 3933163 vintage single plane manifold, not sure if OEM or Repro, but very nice. GM water outlet #3877660. New 180 degree thermostat.
• Carb – Holley 4781-9 – 850 mechanical secondaries / manual choke – Remanufactured and wet flowed by Holley, just out of the box, installed and adjusted. New Carter M4530 mechanical fuel pump.
• Crank Factory Steel GM 3521 5140 forged, cross drilled, steel casting – STD/STD – new Clevite CL77 main (MS 829 H) and rod bearings (CB 743 H).
• Pistons – New Sealed Power 7053P .060 forged pistons - Dome Height: .265 in., Dome Volume: 30 cc, Compression Height: 1.645 in.– about 9.5 compression ratio with these 188 heads. new Sealed Power/Speed Pro Rings R-9905.
• Rods – Factory GM 7/16 dimple rods, pressed pin.
• Camshaft – New Comp Cams 11-106-3 – replacement for GM 3863143 LS6 mechanical flat tappet, advertised duration 316/302, lift .520/.520, Lifters – New Comp Cams 813-16 mechanical flat tappet, new 3/8 pushrods. New double roller timing chain set.
• Accel Reman HEI distributor (#59107) HEI distributor, new Bluestreak 8.5 MM spark plug wires, new Autolite spark plugs.
• New aftermarket “Camaro” style oil pan with Fel-Pro Blue re-usable gasket, new Melling M77HV oil pump with welded pickup.
• New Gates water pump 44027, GM water pump pulley 351680 AA.
• Rebuilt alternator – 63 Amp internal regulator.
• Rebuilt AC Delco A/C A6 Long Compressor Delco 15-20515 with factory GM brackets.
• Rebuilt banjo style power steering pump, GM P/S pulley 394107DE.
• Rebuilt GM hi torque starter.
• GM crank pulley 3937787, new belts.
